CELEBRATION OF AFRICAN CONTINENT DAY
The theme of this year’s Africa Day is “Educating an African Fit for the 21st Century: Building Resilient Education Systems to Increase Access to Inclusive, Lifelong, Quality and Relevant Learning in Africa”.
An opportunity to strengthen the role of African women, ensuring gender equality and parity in all spheres of life (political, economic and social); creating opportunities for self-realization of African youth, access to health, education and jobs; and ensuring the protection and safety of African children, and provision for early childhood development.
The "Africa we want" is an Africa whose development is driven by people, relying on the potential of the African people, particularly women and well-cared for young people and children:
We Want a Prosperous Africa, based on Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development. An integrated, politically united continent, based on the ideals of Pan-Africanism and the vision of the African Renaissance.
